Help-new Torch Coral

Ok.. here goes my first panic attack.

Put him in last nite. He was sliming a little when I put him in. Set him about halfway up the reef and he never opened. This evening I moved him down a little. He is still sliming . been there for a couple hours.. still not open.

I don't know what to do. any ideas?

Thanks in advance too

He doesn't look good, just leave him in a low /moderate flow area under medium/ low light for now. STOP MOVING AND TOUCHING HIM!

Just let him be as moving him will make him worse. If he makes it it will be quit a few days........

I moved him down because the flow was a bit heavy . He is now on the bottom and moderate flow. Ill leave him there and pray a bit. He was the little fella I wanted the worst. Started the order with him. Thats when everything went crazy.. I got click happy lol.. that add to cart button is dangerous. lol
Sure hope he makes it. I sure would feel bad for killin him.

From the pictures it looks fine; still adjusting.

It will probably come out of it soon.

That's what they do. Leave it alone. Monitor water parameters. Sit on your hands.

Crap

Do a search on brown jelly disease.

I think you might lose it; at least LA will refund tho.

brown jelly disease!!!

If this is what he has then I got real trouble.. I have no quarantine tank yet. Should I pull him out? Med the whole tank? Wait it out? Every one else looks happy. no brown slime.. all are open and seem fine... so far.

But the big question is... I see no brown jelly.. no brown slime.. no slime at all at this point.. very white.. and the skin over the little guy is very white, with what looks like breather holes. The more I look at it and read of brown jelly, the more I dont think thats what it is. Maby he got too cold in transport? He was sliming pretty bad when I acclimated him. Gonna leave him alone and hope he pulls through and rebuilds himself.

Question.. Is the brown and/or white jelly contageous? And will it die out in my tank over time? How long should I wait before replacing them?
