Whe I was a yungun in Montana we used to raise a hofg every year. The first year we tried to cure our own bacon and well, them thar directions was incorrect or we couldnt read well, (we was all edjumacated in the Montana school system) and we come up with cure that had the consistancy of bacon. Enough to pucker ya up more n a true dill pickle!

hmmm from mods to food. Well the food sounds great but I'm lost as to why the mods are evil.

the mods are evil because they have been keeping all of the threads on topic lately. have not had a good TRT moment in a thread in a long time. it used to be any thread over 2 pages had at least one food post in it.
BTW- grits have a half life. if not eaten within the first 5min of being placed in front of you, you might as well just use them as skipping stones. if used creatively they make great mold forms for fiberglass construction.
for me grits need a boatload of sugar in them to make them edible.

i love rye....pumperniclel is good too. basically anything with caraway seed in it,
my favorite sammich is black forest pastrami, heated in skillet and set between two thick slices of lightly toasted sourdough rye, spread with mayonaise with a couple melted slices of american cheese.

Hmm, one of the stranger threads I have ever seen. Still haven't figured out what the mods did AND noone has even talked about it for most of the thread.
BTW, I love grape nuts.

ok, i'll spill the reason for the thread.
There was a thread, began long ago about a mod before he was a mod, this thread made it to many pages, and for some inexplicable reason the thread was reawakened after a few months and then promptly locked for yet another inexplicable reason. THEN...another mod posted it it, since mods are the only ones who can post to a locked thread, i was not able to condemn this diabolical, vibrating, lactic, evil-evildoer to his avatar in that thread, so i made this one so that i could harrangue him in publique properly. so there you have it, mystery solved.
Anyone bring cookies?
i'd love a nice, soft, warm peanutbutter cookie right now.
