I'm sure no one else would have noticed this, but check out the first sentence and title to this news story.
Astronauts figure out workaround, power up robot
By MARK CARREAU
Copyright 2008 Houston Chronicle
Astronauts aboard the international space station overcame a worrisome power problem with their new, partially assembled robotic maintenance man late Friday, sending a wave or relief through his Canadian design team.
Let me tell you something, the astronauts did little to figure this out. Not to disrespect their efforts, but they executed procedures that folks in mission control figured out. And who's the lead mission designer for Robotics this mission? Yup, that's my Amy.

OK, need to get my butt off this chair again and get moving. Have to go get a key for the hall that I'm having Keri's memorial at tomorrow afternoon. (sigh)

Oh my, Louise. I understand your feelings very well. God's peace.

nope, she's houstonian like me. she's not an engineer for the hardware, but she writes all the flight procedures for the mission and had the pleasure of reworking all this stuff over the last few days.
