Doing some fragging today and found a small mantis shrimp of some sort. It was only about 3/8" long and beige. It has to have been in the for a very long time since I have not added anything (rock or coral) in a very long time. I just left him be since I didn't feel anything that size could be much trouble. I have some pods his size.

I'm sure there is not a larger mantis in the tank. No broken snail shells or missing small fish ever. Are there very small species of mantis?

I don't know Eric. I think I'd have to side with Doug on this one.....seems like that statement could be some famous, cliche like last words.

So, last night we were shopping and Anna was doing what she does best, climbing. Well, she misbalanced and fell head first onto the stores marble floors. She instantly had a "bump" that was, kid you not, the size of a golf ball
While driving home to pack Jack's overnight bag (we correctly assumed that Amy & family could take him) we spoke with her doctor who confirmed that since she had been dazed for at least 20 mins at this point to take her to the er, which was our destination. While dropping Jack off she came out of her daze enough to partially smile at Connor.
When we got to the er (about an 45 mins after her fall) she started to talk a little bit and walking didn't go well. The only imaging the doctor saw possibly necessary was a ct scan but he didn't want to expose her to the radiation unless it was absolutely necessary. After 30 mins of observation he decided it wasn't and let us go home.
After picking up Jack and getting over the counter meds, pictures were taken. Attached is a picture of her head at 10:30 pm, the fall occurred around 7:45 pm. Happy to report that she is doing better today and the swelling has gone down but the coloring is starting to come thru.

Yikes, Anna! Jess, you need to get her a helmet. We have to make one for my dad with curb feelers... he's been getting head injuries every year or so.

She too has had several head bumps/bruises in the last 19 months but this is the first that required an er visit. So, maybe Anna and your dad shouldn't be allowed to do anything together, eh?
I forgot the moral of the story though......if you need to be woken up every 2-3 hrs to make sure you're okay, Damion is not the person to have that responsibility (even with the assistance of an alarm)

FOR THE RECORD......the silly father was the one that was a bit insistent on picking up the infant son. I didn't see the harm in him staying. After all, what if something would have happened during the night? And if nothing had happened? Oh well, Jack would have had his first overnight at Nana & Qaqa's.
