I just filled up by the capitol (Olympia, wa) and I paid $50. $2.379 per gallon for 91. Gotta love the oil companies... What ever happened to that investigation/ bill going after the BS prices?

Well the problem with that logic is all the fuel that is used for transportation of commodities that you buy will cause inflation of those prices as well. It will nail you no matter how much fuel you personally burn.

I agree, I don't understand why people pay more for gas intentionally for any reason. It just gives those companies like chevron and union76 a reason to charge more.

I mean $.21 per gallon is crazy...if you put 15 gallons in your car that is over $3...I could buy a frag...lol!

There are creative ways to make a profit, even if commodity prices spike and the economy goes into the dumpster.
just have to know where to look.

The rise in gas prices is pure price gauging (sp?). It's a monopoly - we can't get it anywhere else and we basically can't live without it. There should be some kinda regulation. And don't say the oil companies have to raise prices to offset losses from other things. Any company that reports making billions of dollars in profit each month is not exactly hurting. It's a good thing the water company hasn't decided to follow the oil companies and start charging $10 a gallon for water.

I have to run my credit card twice everytime I fill up my suburban. It stops at $75 and then I have to add another $25 to completely fill it. Isn't that nuts?

Why does it stop at $75? Is there some limit on the pump?
