Acha... Yeah I heard the Breaking News on the radio as I was teaching my brother how to drive... I hope no serious damages or anything worse happens.

Looks like there won't be much out of it. Pretty surprising tho!

They had warnings along the Oregon Coast too. Watch for the aftershocks. the closest i have been to a tsunami is when a rock slipped out of my hand while putting it in the tank. i think that was close enough.

What it is ,is a earthquake on the botom of the sea and the floor splits and one side shifts up ,creatting a HUGE wave! But this one slid and shifted sideways, not up and down.

Lots of speculation concerning the "Ring of Fire" heating up. Im close to two large volcanoes. Mt Shasta (45min away) and Mt Lassen (an hour or so) I think its time to speed up my plans to return to Montana! And I just watched "The Day after" last night! Crap, if a big one hits while Im at work that would be bad, cant think of much worse place to be in a big quake than in between the racking at Home Depot.

lol guess I'm glad we haven't moved to Idaho yet...living in the middle of a giant volcanic cauldera would suck. Yep another earthquake today of 5.3 a bit west of us, it really shook the building at my work (like 70 miles away). Let's just say no one worked for about an hour after that.
