Hey Gary-
That's it, My Life. I had just had my first kid and it really made me think. Thanks for the help!
Mapster - Man what a list!! I forgot Tombstone - 'I'm your huckleberry'.
Forgot to add my worst movie I have ever seen - hands down! 'Going Overboard'. I think it was Adam Sandlers first flick, and should have been his last as bad as it was. I guess somebody made a good choice to cast him again in some movies cause he's not too bad now. See ya!

How about Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
I would have to say
Army of Darkness
Lord of the Rings
Resevoir Dogs
I will have to think some more on this one, too many movies to pick from...!

I've been thinking about this question ever since it was first posted. I can't really say I have one or two favorites but two movies that I seem to watch over and over are: The Rain Maker and Other People's Money. OPM should be required viewing for every person entering the job market. Especially the speech that Danny DiVito gives at the stockholders meeting.

Hey Cath:
I'm slow, just saw this thread today. I was going to say that I thought you'd love Breaking Away...one of my favorites. Did you catch the suave pocket protector removal in the big romance scene? Makes me laught just thinking about it.
I just borrowed The Producers from our library so that my son could see it. I see exposing him to silly comedies of the past as a major part of his education.

I'm terrible at picking favorites (I don't even have a favorite color...and I definately don't have any tatoos!)
The Holy Grail is great. If you like the movie you should check out the Society for Creative Anachronism ( www.sca.org)...most members seem to have the movie memorised so you can always get a laugh by thowing out a line or two. "Bring out your dead", "Your father smells of elderberries!", etc.
But as for other "best" movies I'm overwhelmed, so many choices: Cabinet of Dr. Calagary, Romeo and Juliet (the one that came out in the 70's), Kenneth Branaugh's Henry the V, Nosferatu ( just about the last scary movie I went to, I can't take the tension anymore), It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, Blazing Saddles, etc.

Wow! Reading this thread makes me remember so many great movies. We have a good portion of the ones listed so far on tape; time to warm up the VCR!
Anyone remember The Seven Faces of Dr. Lao? Great flick.

I forgot about blazing saddles, I loved that movie.
History of the World Part 1 was also one of my old favorites!
