what does everyone do for a living
Well i am a wee bit bored here tonight, and instead of going through each and everyones profile i thought i would just ask.
as for my self i think i have the most undesirable job in most peoples eyes. if you went up to a stranger and asked what they thought of my proffession im guessing youd hear "crook", "scammer", or something along thoes lines which i actually find appealing. this is going to sound really bad but i think with my proffesion comes one gift. as bad as this seems i have the greatest gift given, manipulation. i am car sales man, now before i get some nasty e mails i would just like to explain my point of view. To all you married folk out there, immagine if everytime you spent something on your tanks without your significant other knowing, your on the way home and all of a sudden....... your consious speaks to you...... "omg my wife/husband is going to kill me", well maybe for some of you this isnt the case but im sure it has gone through all of our heads. I will never have that thought. YES I HAVE A CONSIOUS. but i can overcome anything put in front of me, good or bad. but i can do it with words. but i say this not to piss people off and im sure it will..........actually come to think of it i dont know why i just said that.............but anyways, i am currious to see just what everyone does. and since you have all been so kind to me if you are ever looking for a car and if you have any questions about certain makes and models or if you want to know if you are gettinga fair price i would be more than happy to assist you in any way. i know i said i can manipulate but you guys have helped me in more ways than one with your responses to my posts, so i hope i can assist you guys. alothough it would be cool to see jedimermaid come to mn from boston to buy a car from me, or montanarockreefer comin to trade that ford, or well you get the point.
anyways just reply to the post, what does everyone do?

Im a Senior Field Service Engineer for a company in the high tech industry servicing the west coast. The company I work for makes equipment thats used in the global manufacturing process of microchips & other devices.
For those familiar with wafer fabs, our equipment perfoms PECVD, RIE & ICP etch and deposition processes.
In laymans terms, Im a fix it guy ;-)
(Also an avid poker player, hence my handle)

I'm an HVAC technician. The company I work for has been around for 104 years. There have only been three owners of the company in that time and the current family has owned it since the early 70's. I am very fortunate to work for this company, they are considered the top HVAC company in Atlanta.
I also do some real estate investing. I hope that will be my full time profession within the next ten years.

I'm a carpenter for the most part. I mostly do commercial work and a big part of that is installing windows. 90% of the time it's in the Chicago public schools or the Chicago Housing Authority (the projects ) . It makes for some really "interesting" work. The pay is great and the hours are even better so I have time to do a lot of work around the house and some side jobs too. I also dabble in real estate, buy, fix up and sell. Bob

I've been involved one way or the other with property management for the last 10 years or so. I used to work in the field doing light maintenance etc., but have been mostly in the office and handling leasing the last 3-4 years.
I'm ready for a change I think, but have no idea what I want to be when I grow up
I work part time at an LFS too. Lately it's been very part time, can't get there nearly as much as I'd like

LOL Rick!
No tool belt but I spray painted my tool box hot pink. The contractors always rolled their eyes at me and laughed

I have been in the lumber business since high school. I work for now the fourth company to own this lumber mill since I started working there about 33 years ago! I have operated every machinery and been certified and presently am a lumber grader which requires passing five tests and then getting your grading certificate and card. I grade under WWPA(Western Wood Products Association) rules and have been grading now for about 8 years! Johnny
