What are the chances??

About 5 months ago somebody stole our 15 foot tandem kayak from behind our apartment. So missing going out boating with my wife, I decided to take a look on craigslist here in Orlando to see what was available and what do ya know..BAM..theres our boat for sale. I got ahold of the guy and met him at his house on Sat. morning. He was shocked to say the least to find out that his boat was indeed MY boat. We called the sheriff and he came out and confirmed that it was mine and as soon as the paper work was done I was free to take my boat home. The guy who had my boat even had the number of the lady he bought it from and she came out and was kind enough to give the guy his money back. My faith in humanity has increased a point or two. My wife and I are still in shock..what are the chances !?!

Find out who it is and go beat the living **** out of the guy. I hate theives and you know the cops aren't putting this high on their priority list.

BTW I'm just kidding about beating him up but I wouldn't feel bad if something happened to the guy.

With that kind of luck, you need to buy a lottery ticket! So glad you got your kayak back and hope the thief gets a few years to think about it.

bought two tickets on the way home from getting my boat yesterday..no winners but I had to give it a shot. The lady that was the second to have the boat was giving the cop a descrition of the guy and she kept asking me if I wanted to know what he looked like and I told her no. If I know what he looks like and I see him..I will go to jail and he's not worth it. But yes..I do hope he has some sort of bad accident like falling off a stolen kayak and being eaten by a a gator.

do kayaks turn over hands that often in 5 months?
it's a great story, but something sounds fishy

that is one of the good things about craigslist, if you have something stolen just go on and look for it or parts of it and you may find what you were missing. one big reason i am wary of really cheap stuff that should be expensive (Ipods, etc...)
