Hop, do you come home and go straight to bed? I worked 3rd before and was too wired to goto bed when I got home...I had to start taking sleeping pills

Today is a mad scramble! Trying to get all my stuff together for my oral interview tomorrow. My nice suit needs washed and I'm trying to cram all the useful information in my head... It's going to be a long night!

I get the kids out the door and then go to bed. So I'm up for about another hour after I get home. When I was single, I would flop schedules to the T. So I would come home, eat dinner, watch TV and go to bed at 10am, getting up at 4:30... But not with kids... Bed at 7 and up by 1 or 2...

Yup Made it down to the final 7 for 2 positions. The final portion of the process is tomorrow at 4:30 for me. An hour long oral interview. There are two sergeant positions opening. Some good competition!

wow! I didn't realize it was that tough to become sgt. I need to ask my wife how hard it is for our boys to get promoted. I know making Lt. or detective isn't easy

I had a essay exam that was over 6000 words, a aptitude test with 50 questions that needed to be answered in essay fashion and a grammar exercise. There were 15 people who qualified to test and it is down to 7 for 2 positions. Regardless what happens, this testing will open a lot of positions. Next year it looks like there will be one more sergeant position, 4 corporals and at least 3 detective positions that open from this testing, promotions and new positions funded through the budget. So if this falls through, I have a good shot at one of the others, although I will only shoot for detective if I get nixed tomorrow...
