Web cam ?

I have a Gift Cert to Staples that I'm thinking of using to finally buy a web cam. Anyone have the logitech Quickcam Pro 5000?

I think a cam is a nice way of showing off the tank

I may end up with multiple cams

1 on current tank, 1 on future tank
1 "security" cam on front yard & 1 on back yard

I have the 4000, it's great, can't imagine the 5000 would be worse, the mount isn't as crazy looking on my 4000, just flat, with a post to pivot on

I still have an older logitech and it works great with Yahoo IM. I've had interesting conversations and seen a lot of umm yeah that's it aquariums. Bet a newer one would be nice. Mine is USB and just works well and there should be zero issues getting it going.

Well, we may use the Gift Cert elsewhere, so I'm looking at all webcams now to see what will be the "best"

Debating on a pan & tilt camera
Logitech orbit MP ...or..? Wow, it has a 2 year warranty

I saw that one the other day, i almost bought it, if you use the face tracking option, the pan/tilt will follow you around the room. pretty neat.
