2 things my dad ruined for me as a kid

Fishing and camping

he would drag us around in the back of a pick-up truck
we would set up the tent around 10pm
go to bed
he'd get up and go fishing at the crack of dawn, we were stuck in the middle of nowhere until he got back in the afternoon

and when I did go fishing with him
it was

shut up, sit down, stop making all that noise

now if I'm on a boat for more than 30 minutes, I'm looking for a place to go to sleep
