What is an active nest? Robins or ducks? Those duck eggs are doomed without a parent
Pack them up and get out the heating pad. I will tell you what to do once they hatch!
(But you will need an eyedropper)

Well I turned them on when I got home at 5 and it has not raised the temp at all so far.
