Way To Start A Weekend Thread
Good Morning Everyone!
We went to get a bite to eat last night about 6:30 and came home to no power. A spot storm blew through and took out trees and power lines all around our neighborhood. Thinking the power would come on soon, we didn't worry about the tank when we went to bed around 9:30. Woke up at 12:45 to no power. Got the inverter out and started up the van for the next hour and ran the return pump, one tunze and a fan to get some airflow over the tank. Temp in the tank actually stayed cooler than the house. House got to 79 and tank stayed at 77. Went back to bed about 2 AM. Power just came back on about 10 minutes ago. Nine hours of now power. Both tanks look OK but we did suffer a few losses. Nothing too bad. All the montis look OK so far. The first acro I bought about 3 years ago had never done very well until recently does not look good at all now. I had one coral partly out of the water the whole time and it looks to be doing fine.
We did take some pics by flashlight of some of the corals before the damage was done. I'll post them later today. I need to get to bed.

Well that stinks. Give them some time with water, proper flow, etc. I bet you the Acro will pull through.

Happy Morning, Everybody!
Eric, that inverter to put some water flow and oxygen in the tank might have saved the tank for you. Good, quick thinking. Hope everything perks up now that you've got real power on.
I plan to take it easy today and rest up after the ordeal of the past two days. See the details in the morning thread in GRD.
Have a great weekend!

That's the pits, Eric. Hope things continue to recover.
Morning. I'm going to go play tennis in a few minutes. I'm kind of terrible at tennis, and I don't much like it, but my friend wants to play and he always plays hoops with me so I figure I owe him. I don't know why he picked 730 though.

Good morning!
Eric, great thinking on the inverter. I hope your loss is minimal.
Chris, 7:30 tennis? Really, who does that?
Kia, no kids? What are you going to do with yourself?
I have a feeling its going to be a long day today. Before going to bed last night I checked on Anna for some reason. She was sleeping but saw that she had figured out how to take off her diaper that was taped on using painters tape....This is our new battle, I was winning until she figured out how to take off a diaper put on backwards Anyways her bed was soaking wet and she was just nasty when I took her out. Nothing like a spontaneous bath at 12:30 am. The diaper was put on with a thin strip of (you guys will enjoy this) duct tape. I'll learn shortly the success of it.
Hope everybody has a great day!

I have no idea
but I'm willing to try it
you know, see how the other half lives
my first thought is to clean the house, do the laundry
shampoo the boys rooms to remove the "teenage odor"
and then see how long it takes for "the boss" to make a mess
