Morning everyone!

I'll come help sandbag around your house. We may have saved a few things if we had been trying to save individual structures. Levee was lost before we ever arrived.

were you singing Led Zeppelin the whole night?
If it keeps on rainin', levee's goin' to break, [X2]
When The Levee Breaks I'll have no place to stay.
Mean old levee taught me to weep and moan, [X2]
Got what it takes to make a mountain man leave his home,
Oh, well, oh, well, oh, well.
Don't it make you feel bad
When you're tryin' to find your way home,
You don't know which way to go?
If you're goin' down South
They go no work to do,
If you don't know about Chicago.
Cryin' won't help you, prayin' won't do you no good,
Now, cryin' won't help you, prayin' won't do you no good,
When the levee breaks, mama, you got to move.
All last night sat on the levee and moaned, [X2]
Thinkin' about me baby and my happy home.
Going, going to Chicago... Going to Chicago... Sorry but I can't take you...
Going down... going down now... going down....

As a matter of fact I have. You could have used your old stuff. Would have been no difference than what we were already in.

Is this just in the sessions? Or on the property period? Why is that?

It's a always thing. We're at a homeless shelter. we ask people to give up their job for the 1st 6 mos. If you don't have a job, you can't afford a cell phone. and seeing as our goal is self suffientancy, we won't allow people to mooch off their family to pay for one.
As for electronics, people end up homeless for a varity of reasons, but one thing that is common is a lack of ability to maintian healthy relationships and healthy interaction with people. When we allow people to have their iPod, they will listen to music instead of talk with their peers. if they have a dvd player they will go to their room and watch a movie by their self rather than with our community.
It is our goal to give people time to better their life and focus on changes that need to be made in themselves.....electronics are distractions. And ...... if we make it too comfortable to be here, they drag their feet and don't have a reason to leave, taking away electronics is an incentive to leave.

Hmmm,.. Great idea! But I still think people will get lost in there heads - that's more distracting then any Ipod - Go into a walmart at about 1AM and you will see what I mean.
