Jenn,
I dug out around the rocks a bit and then stacked stuff on one side of the tank... taking out pieces that I didnt' want crushed, and most of my corals were on the sand bed on the side I wasn't working on....

after I got sand out of one side I shifted everything back...

thanks Amy... I just have so much dang rock... 200 lbs... and it took me about 12 hours one Satuday to get it like I wanted it... I am kicking myself for not realizing that I did not want that much sand to begin with BEFORE working so long back in Sept. doing the rockwork...I am so sick of this sand right now, I am about to start siphoning it out right now. I added a couple of 2500 gph maxijets mods about 6 weeks ago and since then I have been getting madder and madder at this stupid pulverized limestone stuff...the tank is in a constant state of sandstorm or milkshake....I can see this will be one of those "hairbrained" things I do that i talked about...Ok, maybe I could just take off the top layer of rocks on one side of the tank, set them over on the other side somewhere so they don't crash down and siphon... then smooth the sand out before putting them back on the top layer and then do the same on the other side... I do want to keep about 2-3 inches...this is driving me crazy and I will let it eat at me until I do something about it....

If you get a washing machine and a dryer, you can do stuff in between doing laundry

Shhhh!!!! Not so loud! Mrs. Hop is unaware of folding laundry or taking them out of the dryer... Sometimes I think we have an automated dresser... Turn it on until you see the clothes you want to wear spin by!
