That stinks  I take it that's your home A/C,.. Is it $1700 for a new unit? Or just the compressor?

That's for a brand new unit. THe unit is 8 years old so I might as well replace it before the change in refrigerant at the end of the year.

A new one would probably be much more efficant too - so it's a win-win.

The guy is looking for a refurb that he could guarantee for at least 2 years for 800 total. If I get a new one I get a 10 year warranty and a third of the price off my taxes.

You'd think that wouldn't you our crappy school district has the pre K and K students at the Jr. High
If I could afford to I'd move just to get Violet in a different school
