In Arizona they are having a heat wave now.... hot enough to melt candles, cause dogs to get heat stroke from the pavement....Well the inmates are griping how hot and inhumane it is there.... they live in tents there. Since the sheriff.... my hero Joe Arpaio ("The Toughest Sheriff in the Nation"), makes them live in tents and wear pink prison suits.... they gripe how hot and inhumane it is.... and his response????

Joe Arpaio, the tough-guy sheriff who created the tent city and long ago started making his prisoners wear pink, is not sympathetic. He said Wednesday that he told the inmates: "It's 120 degrees in Iraq and the soldiers are living in tents and they didn't commit any crimes, so shut your mouths."

i love it!!!!

when i was on vacation last year, one of the dorms had a broken down ac system all summer... that's all the inmates did was complain all day every day. conversly, the dorm next door had an ac system that was out of control and it was freezing... same thing, complaints all day.

the gurads used to say, hey if you weren't a criminal you'd have the luxury of being at home and setting your temp however you wanted it

me, i took it in stride. grab another blanket complaining aint gonna make it go away or get ya home any quicker.

i converesed more with the guards than i did other inmates. most of the other inmates didn't care for me because i wasn't a "real" criminal

I've heard of the Joe Arpaio guy a few times. awesome guy and great idea's!!!!

Joe is too cool! Crime wouldnt pay so well if all wardens were like him. As for being cruel and inhumane....if you made your bed, then rest your head. As a reserve police for 7 years, I got really tired arresting the same few morons several times a year for the same stupid stuff. Dont get me wrong I loved many aspects of the job despite the fact that its so low budget pay wise VS responsibilities, but you just cant begin to imagine some of the flustrations. When you consider how much it cost to lock these clowns up in most locals, its a travisty to the taxpayer. I agree I should be allowed to starve you or night stick you everyday, but do I really owe you comfortable accomidations, a library, weight room, or a degree? I think not. Joe gives them everything they NEED, and some tough lovin too!

If you disagree, then hate me! I will get over it quick, I promise!
