Thursday smear into Friday
One more shift then done for weekend, gawd I love it when the upper level people are cluelss, can't do their jobs and wait till the last minute to order parts for the helos off shore, and want them there over night, oh and the we are returning a boatload of parts(on my put away shelf) but DON'T do anything yet cause we have no where to put them yet

That's what happens when bean counters take over a company from the people who built it up and really knew what it was all about.  Seen it happen hundreds of times.

Hey TRTers! I haven't been around much w/ the new semester  I worked at the free clinic for 3 days and I'm already sick  Hopefully I will build up an immunity after constant exposure but it kinda makes me wish I got a flu shot.

Did you guys ever try the JIT (just in time) supply system? It got real popular a few years ago where executives thought they could save a few cents by having less stock on hand, leading to less storage costs and less capital tied up. It seemed like a great idea until the first supply truck had a breakdown or an order simply wasn't made. I had some friends who worked at Great Dane trailer manufacturer when they tried it. The first time you have to shut a plant down for 2 days and pay overtime the next week to catch up.... the pennies you saved magically disappear.
