Folks come to my work because they've NOT been on good behavior!

Now, on with the day.........

Nice day today, and maybe they will let us cut out a little early.

I have to fix my kegerator because the new tall handle doesn't have good clearance to shut it off. This will involve pulling off the tap assembly and changing how far it sticks out. That will be a good project for the afternoon.

Now that my MIL has made her annual tour we can begin the downstairs paint, wood floor and tile project soon as our 4th BBQ guests clear the house. That oughta keep both of us off the streets for a while.

When you flying home Vinnie?

Well work is pretty slow today. That is a good thing. It looks like a tornado ripped through my desk and left remnants of nine totally different projects with accompanying paperwork. Lemme suck down some coffee and clean this mess up.

We are having Danika, Cynthia's vet assistant over along with her parents. Here is my marinade for carne preparado asada.

1 1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup soy
1 cup distilled white vinegar
1 cup of tequila
1 t onion powder
1 t oregano
1 t chili powder
1 t cumin
1 t cayenne
black pepper to taste
dash of lea and perrins

Mix all this up with a whisk until you have an emulsion. Stick a couple of flank steaks in a big roaster pan then add the following to the pan

Juice from eight limes and the lime remnants
Half a bunch of cilantro
Eight smashed cloves of garlic

Marinate this all day, grill medium rare and slice on the bias then load it up in a tortilla with black beans, avocado and some green onion bits.

I am grilling corn on the cob and making a mango salsa as well.

This will be paired with a new quarter barrel of Fat Tire.

It is a ghost town at work today. There are a couple of zombies walking around eating a doughnut and that is it. If they keep us here the entire day I am going to freak.

Morning All!

Sorry to hear about your gobi Kelli

We managed to check the bluebird nest in our rain garden this morning and we have hatched baby bluebirds! Not sure of the count because we didn't want to disturb them too much. I had figured they would hatch right around now. Most likely yesterday.
