They're letting me stay!
Woohoo my Green Card came today 
I have been in the work visa renewal roundabout/application for permanent resident status since "before" I got here (1998).
We got final approval in November, got our final photo/fingerprint between Christmas and New Year's and they stamped our passports and told us it could take 6-12 months for the card to arrive. It came today!
Woohoo!
Now in 4 years and 7 months I can apply for citizenship  I'll want to keep my Canadian citizenship too, but I'm pretty sure both countries allow dual citizenship with one another.

Pleasure to keep you in our country, you seem like a good one to keep. My wife is British and I brought here over so I know what a pain in the bum all that is, we have to file more paperwork in june because that is when our 2 year anniversary is. I hate paperwork, but she is definately worth the hassle

Jerel? Stinky? Ummm a label like that can stick with a person. Besides, I bathe occasionally Heck I'm in saltwater all day...  I don't stink -- really, hehehe well, much anyway.

big t: "Pain in the bum"??? You've been around that Brit too long  My dad's a Brit too, so I speak 4 languages now: English, French, Canadian and American
Luckily this card is good for 10 years, I don't have to renew til March 2013. However if I become a citizen I don't need to renew it at all...
