The World Cup
Hey all,
Dunno if its that big of a deal in the USA but as many of you will know the soccer world cup is currently running. Are there any other supporters of the beautiful game out there? If so, who are you supporting? And who do you think will win?
Personally I think Argentina will win it, but you never know. Being an Aussie tho I really want Australia to win. What about you.

Anyone but the US will win.
We just don't get it here. My son played football...I played water polo and golf and soccer just makes no sense at all. Rugby I can see but soccer nope.

Hay USA is rank #5 in the would and you say we don't get it?I guess you mean it's a easy sport!And that is the farthest from the truth!We almost made history by scoring in the cup with only 9 guys and both of our red cards were bogus calls and everyone is saying that and we kept them from scoring on us against the crybaby Italians .They sure couldn't play Rugby!they cried when they get brushed!

Heh, the only World Cup plyed in the uSA was 1994, final game was in Pasadena, Italy and Brazil, but Italy lost by missing a penalty at the end of the game... all of the last games in that 1994 WC were kind of boring.
...when I was playing I somehow would always ask the ref to show me his red card....

On the topic of rugby loverotties, um Italy is a very strong team and if im mistaken beat the USA 72-0. No offense.

We did win hoops with NBA guys in the Olympics once..and of course beat the commies at Hockey that other time.

i just started getting interested in soccer. my 10 year neice was asked a few months back to be on a traveling soccer team. how exciting! they will travel locally at first, then go to other states and eventually to other countries. i should be watching more of it on boob-tube, but haven't.
