Perry and Cynthia - that tile project looks great! American Girl is series of books for young girls, and then dolls made so that girls can make up stories and such.

Hope you had a good birthday, Eric!

Have a safe trip to the PNW Vinnie.

Looks like a nice morning anyway. Hopefully I can get Cynthia up pretty soon to do the grouting so we can button up our project.

The first softball game of the season is at 9 pm (yikes). We haven't even met our teammates yet except for the girl I roped into beach volleyball.

Morning, safe trip Vinnie
well, my boys turn 15 today
anyone want to place bets on if they'll wake up before the family starts to show up around 3?

Well crap.

The wood substrate we used for the tile job warped bigtime and popped up some tiles. The tiles can probably be saved, but this is going to be a do-over. Now plywood is drying with a top of 1/2" wonderboard, and hopefully that won't warp. A little bit of molding should make the edges tidy.

Also, there is a huge pocket of insulation under the floor so I need to go buy a long installer drill bit for the stereo. It needs a 1 1/2" hole to run the cord to the subwoofer under the house.

Oh well, it is just stuff.

yup thanks Cath!
Erin chose Elizabeth from Williamsburg during the revolutionary war era. I don't think she's going to let go of her doll for some time to come.

Okay got holes drilled in the floor and walls and just need my wife to wiggle a little wire so I can tape the big harness to it and pull it.

Also, put some wonderboard and plywood together and when Cynthia gets home later from horsie riding it is time for tiling part 2.

HD twice, all this construction and I am filthy along with the house. Beer me!

Do we get some cake and ice cream, too?

Perry - Ewwww on your project having frustrating problems along the way. As my sister says "things take longer than they take"

Kelli- good to see you!

Amy - Yep, Erin's doll will be a keepsake for her.

Grrr...I woke up in the middle of the night and there was no power. Haven't a clue of the cause, though I saw a blue light one street over from mine. Luckily, I have a gas water heater.

See you all later.

Evening everyone. Well got the redone tile job set and now it just has to dry. Hopefully the laminate of plywood and wonderboard will stay sturdy.

Running the cable under the house went great as well.

We got rained out for softball, but still have volleyball tomorrow if the weather permits. Grouting will be on Tuesday and then final pics and installation on Wednesday.

Hope everyone has a fine evening. I am beat.

we all survived the family party
plenty of ice cream cake left for anyone that wants some

and anyone that placed bets that the kids would be up before 9:30am won

I know, it shocked me as well

I'm off to burn the excess calories I consumed today
