THE best cd/album of all time
I'm sure everyone has an opinion (sometimes a strong one) on this topic, lol. I hope we can all share them with civility and no violence

hmm thats a tough one for me, my musical taste varies with my mood, metallica master of puppets, then just about most Led Zepplin, Billy Joel greatest hits vol 1 and 2. so i guess i dont have one all time favorite

Good question! Hm...
The White Album by the Beatles is probably my all-time favorite. (But I really love the Magical Mystery Tour Album, too...)
I'm really not dating myself - my parents are a strictly NPR set, and I didn't even know radio EXISTED until I was a teenager. So I grew up listening to THEIR music.

I love NPR. Lots of great shows. Yeh, I'm classically trained,but I love many different kinds of music.
Best album/CD? That is a tough question. There's a great Chet Atkins CD, where he plays a really inspired version of "Imagine". And I do love classic late 60s music. I believe Duke Ellington said, "There's 2 kinds of music. Good and bad". Some I like (pop or classical) because it elevates the human condition. Other music I like just because it's fun. Hmm...I guess that's getting into the next question of fave driving music.

Hey man , I told ya they would catch us
After all the years I have listened to music, I would rather debate the proper way to run a reef tank than all time favorites

A few come to mind.
'Revolver' by the Beatles;
The untitled 4th album from Led Zep (sometimes called '4' or 'Zoso');
maybe 'Himig Natin' by Juan dela Cruz...
Lots of other close calls, but those strike me as extremely good.
How come you didn't list your picks, Chris ?

Nothing at all wrong with NPR - It's about all I listen to anymore. Several colleagues and I have a theory that when you shift over to NPR, you lose touch with the current music scene and just listen to NPR for the rest of your life. Or maybe it just feels that way. Personally, I don't figure I'm missing much at the moment.

Really streching the boundries here.....
Todd Rundgren "A Wizard, A True Star". The man was 10 years ahead of his time.
Tommy Bolton "The Ultimate vols. I & II". What a voice, what a guitar player. Gone too soon.
Anything by Joe Satriani. Instant classics!
I could go longer and more obscure, but alas, I have to go to work now......

"Legend" by Robert Nesta Marley. I also like "From the Cradle" from Eric Clapton. Hendrix is good too. Of the 6 disks in the changer in the truck, 4 are Jimmy Buffett, 1 Marley and 1 Dixie Chicks. Go figure
