So, if we post that we should pay attention to this thread, will it die off?

Or will someone...shamelessly...use this thread to bump up their post counts?

The gauntlet has been thrown....
These friars were behind on their belfry payments, so they opened up a small florist shop to raise the funds. Since everyone liked to buy flowers from the "men of God", the rival florist across town thought the competition was unfair. He asked the good fathers to close down, but they would not. He went back and begged the friars to close. They ignored him. He asked his mother to go and ask the friars to get out of business. They ignored her too. So, the rival florist hired Hugh MacTaggart, the roughest and most vicious thug in town to "persuade" them to close. Hugh beat up the friars and trashed their store, saying he'd be back if they didn't close shop. Terrified, they did so - thereby proving -
Are you ready for this?
That Hugh,
and only Hugh,
can prevent florist friars.

two high school kids are enjoying a lazy afternoon of watching the yard birds pick and scratch while they toss handsful of cracked corn into the yard. As chickens are apt to do, one began to walk across the yard into the pasture, steping a step, then stopping to watch if the boys got up, then another step, then stopping to look, then another, and another, until one of the boys would drive the errant chicken back into the yard. This occurred again and again untill the farmer's prize rooster came out of the chicken house, ran full speed through the yard, ran up the drive and into the road where it was struck and killed by a Southbound moving van.
Later, when the farmer asked the boys why they had let his prize rooster run through the yard instead of stopping it, the oldest boy replied that they didn't have the heart to stop the escaping chicken, because...
...it was poultry in motion...

In addition to fish I read an article on birds now and then. I believe the longest migration of any bird is that of the Arctic Tern. In any case, there was a gigantic marijuana bust down in Central America and they set up huge piles of plants in the middle of fields which were set on fire. A migrating flock of the birds flew over the policemen and in the course of the investigation no Tern was left Unstoned.
