What, are Dem's supposed to be a bit touchy? I thought that was just fine and as a public figure Obama, Sarah Palin and anyone else are going to have jokes about them. I think TRT just wants them in reasonable taste, this thread skirting that fine line on maybe a couple of posts.

No warning, but a plea, Honestly, I find the joke a clever play on words but given the newness of the whole situation I can see it going wrong on many levels depending on ones sensitivity to anything that "Could" be construed as remotely racial or ethnic. Being mostly Irish and married to a Korean-bohemian women, with a dad raised in the south, but growing up in the 60s, trust me I have heard it all, and I am pretty thick skin, esp since I openly admit that I tend to conservative but mostly the live and let live cowboy philosophy.

All I ask that we all remember that while the forum here is a little looser here re: humor, we still need to keep it fairly tasteful and creative if you need to get edgy, and yes edgy is sometimes funny

Besides, as a losing Republican centerist branded now as a potential right wing tea party terrorist by Ms. Napolitano (see http://www.foxnews.com/politics/firs...ing-extremism/ ), I still support my president regardless of his background because he is the president, and he has a tough job. This is unlike the Dems and GW Bush...

No punch line, just MO.

I so unnerstand where you ar coming from Tom, but I find "pigs have feelings too" kinda ironic since rumor has it that you and your minions plan to sacrifice an innocent pig to satiate your lust for BB! pork
If I wasn't in the midst of Dyan's chemo and all that entails I would probably be east bound in the near future

So, she named you, too, huh? Her broad brush painted just about everybody I know, including most of the Dems around here, and not a terrorist or anarchist among them.

Now, let's steer this thread away from things political:

A little girl was diligently pounding away on her grandfather's word processor. She told him she was writing a story. "What's it about?" he
asked.

"I don't know," she replied. "I can't read."

one more cheap shot, then back to our reguarly schedued humor...

OK, one more cheap shot, then I'll stay off the political scene for my humor list:

If you are bothered by occasional constipation or just plain ol' dificulty going to the bathroom, look in the bathroom mirror and repeat the following phrase three times in succession when symptoms occur:

"My financial and personal well being are totally in the hands of Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Tim Geithner, Rahm Emmanual, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd , and Al Gore"

If that doesn't scare the cr@p out of you, then there is no need to take meds to remedy the sitution. You are probably destined to be backed up for the rest of your life.

There is no need to thank me for this advice, I'm just doing a public health service...

That's it . . . I'm not saying anything even remotely concerning politics, religion, or ethnicity.

All I can say is: I have a fishtank, Woo Hoo!
How's this one?
As you get older three things happen. The first is your memory goes, and I can't remember the other two...
