Tank pictures
I caught this "little" guy running across the floor in the rec room today. His name is "Tank", thus the name of the thread. Anyone know what kind of spider he is? I think he is a wolf spider, but I am not an expert in these little creatures.

hey Drew-
That is one bad looking mutha!! My wife would have freaked is she came across that thing. Better make sure that thing doesn't eat the cat, or small children!!
Just feed it scraps of meat so it doesn't get any big ideas!

I don't know what it is...but it reminds me of the ones in "Arachniphobia."
Remember that movie? (shudder)

I think he is kind of cute! Look at that face! He looks just like a little dog with a few extra legs! I named him tank because it looks like his head could rotate around his body like a turret. I will feed him a side of beef tonight to keep him from eating all of our pets.

We've already had that discussion, and no, we aren't keeping him. (Even though there are 3 10gallon tanks in the garage, we don't need an arachnorefugium...)

Definitely a Lycosa sp., Wolf Spider. They are cool pets and great bug eaters.
