It's a small bayannet base to start with, then it's yellow, 12V of course, but at 23W (nearly 2 amps!) in such a small bulb that's weird. Plus the bulb is so small the base is actually larger than the glass part, and it needs to be to fit in this tiny aftermarket turnsignal that looks so cool
Nothing like this would go in a car,.. I was SO hoping it was a slip in base, then dashboard bulbs are about right for it,.. but no.

Neah! I can't because it has to pull that much current for the turn signal relay to work properly. It's an older bike so the turn signal relay is still based on a bi-metal strip, it's not a digatal switch like newer vehicles.

No big deal right?
Wrong! I've never seen a bulb anything like this in my life. I'm thinking a replacement is going to have to be special ordered

You could always just use the legal hand signals....save your self a couple of bucks and the agony of finding the replacement.

Ya,.. I do that too,.. But it envolves taking my clutch hand off the bars (meaning you can't do it sitting still) and it's illegal at night in this state. Actually legaly in this state a bike doesn't need turn signals at all, but then it's illegal to ride at night.

Just get a blinking jagermeister light that they hand out at the bar and move it to the appropriate side of your back at each turn?

I use hand signals when I'm biking... though I don't think they're legal (or appropriate).

I do that too! In fact if I do it right, they are intermittent like a real turn signal
