Summer barbecue meals
It's about time to get us off the subject of those stupid reefs with stuff that eats each other or has ich or algae or whatever and get back off topic
I finally came up with a great fast meal cooked on the barbecue for summer:
Pork loin roll rubbed with tiger sauce and cajun mix (or something like Emeril's Essence) This is seared then put on the cold side of a grill at about 350 until it reaches 155 degrees or the pinkness in the thickest part goes away.
Sweet corn is slow roasted at the same time on the cold side the entire time then salt, butter, savory or sage is added.
Plate this up with applesauce and in an hour you are good to go.
Let's see what you chef's come up with

This is the fastest dinner I've come up with on the grill:
Boneless, skinless chicken breasts, rubbed with garlic and rosemary, thrown on the grill then slather with BBQ sauce and they're ready to eat. Small zucchinis, cut in half lengthwise, scored and cooked each side. When you're almost ready to pull them off, brush them with Italian dressing or garlic butter. Serve with pasta salad or fresh sliced tomatoes.

Perry i love tiger sauce!!!!!!! you can almost drink it straight!
i like to do kabobs, i use some nice shrimp not from my tank and put a few onions and small tomato's on it, it only tanks a few to cook on the grill. i keep a small pot with butter and herbs warming on the upper part of the grill and jut brush on...I would say about 1/2 make it to the table.....
i also like to do meat but that was marinaded for a few hours first then kabobed.. does that count?

QUOTE]
Oops made beanie weenies with too much tiger sauce and Christy is from down where they call salsa hot sauce.
Better dial back on them next time with the hotness factor.
Doh got the quote thing wrong again...you know what I mean

For me nothing can compare to a custom cut slightly aged porterhouse rubbed with a little garlic salt and pepper. Slow Q it till its just a little pink and then toss it on a plate with an already chilled salad that has tomato, artichoke hearts, green onion, diced purple onion (a little), croutons and fresh made Ranch (not from a bottle) Right next to that should be pile of potato skins with bacon, green onion, and sharp chedder for dipping in even more ranch! Wash it down with a huge glass of milk so cold it makes your head hurt! Mmmmmmmmm...gotta go to the grill.

Mmmm...I BBQ marinated steaks last night.
I love hot sauce on just about everything, lol. Have you tried the Embassa Chipotle Salsa? I use it for BBQ sauce. Not very hot, just has a nice smokey tang to it.

I have one My mom always cooked
Large square of foil. Place 2 chicken legs in it with butter and garlic. Put a veggie of your choice inside and the bbq sauce on all of it. Place on a low temp grill and let it cook for about 45 min check it if the chicken is done turn up the heat and let it heat another 10 min. Place on a plate grab a fork and dig in.
