I only work with the uninsured at this point. I have heard it discussed vaguely but only in a political discussion not in actual nuts and bolts of how it will be implemented.

Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky went hunting? Well anyway, Brasky decides he's gonna hunt down all four members of the Banana Splits. He stalks and kills every one of them with a machete. They all beg for their lives, except Fleagul.

Yep Doug hope you can get something. It seems like all this activity is not really geared towards folks that worked and took nothing 99% of their lives.

Thanks for the articles Dick, it appears that employers affected by this will have to notify eligible former employees by April 17th, if I read it correctly.
On the one hand I will happily take a 65% cut in the $800+ I have to pay to keep ins for Dyan, on the other hand I suspect that even with tax breaks, providing the balance of coverage is going to dig into the coffers of small struggling companies and put more burden on them

As always, whenever Big Guvmint gives a handful, it takes two handfuls back.
I sincerely hope you do get some relief from this.

Update, I talked to the ins broker who manages the COBRA plan for my former employer, in theory the $1600 I have paid already should cover my 35% share till August. Now if the hospital and insurance co would get on the same page with the billing, life would be better
