Son Trevor is awarded ROTC Scholarship at IU!

Trevor was called by the Captain of the ROTC unit at Indiana University while we were out of state. He was selected number 2 of 10 recipients for the ROTC scholarship. This will cover his tuition, books, and provide him with a monthly stipend. He will major in U.S. History, and enter OCS upon graduation. He will attend a 3-wk leadership training camp this August prior to his first term at IU.

If you knew Trevor, you'd know our U.S. Armed Forces are attracting the best, and that they are attracting youth who have fairness, broad-mindedness, resolve, and compassion for peoples of all lands in the world. His principles are the highest and his closet is the cleanest -- and the protestors, so long as they aren't breaking laws, damaging property, or hindering the lives of others, are not making him angry. I can't say I have that level of patience or tolerance. Serving his country does not scare him -- as he says, someone must do it, and it should be those who are well-trained, intelligent, informed, fair, and with right motives.

One of his closest friends, also a senior, is 3rd to the class valedictorian (class of 427, Trevor is 14th), a National Merit Scholar, an Eagle Scout, and is attending the Air Force Academy in Colo. Springs next fall.

Congratualations Trevor

In these days of GenX ,whats the use , blah blah blah , its a pleasure to know that there are still highly motivated young men and women out there that are not afraid, no , Eager to look the world in the eye and lock horns with life.
Its this kind of guts and drive that allow us to carry out a military campaign like we are in now rather than the old fashioned debacle. Thank You

Shelby hollered all day. I thought she was glad to see me, but then Trevor said she's been hollering all week. She knows she gets away with everything with Steve!
