This is what I found while in my yard today. I just love snakes! I think they are just so cool. But anyway in this pic he was getting ready to strike, and strike he did but he missed me lol.

oh yeh, snakes are cool. But I'd put my steps in reverse on that one.

Looks like a bull snake to me. I had one as a pet and they are as harmless as a gardner snake. Great pets once they decide you mean them no harm.

yep if you could see his whole body it is a garter snake. We use to play with these snakes when me and my bros and sisters were mere children. I have been biten a few times but dont really hurt much Told my husband I was gonna catch it but he said very loudly NO lolol (he is afraid of them ) But he was nice enough to run into the house and grab my camera for me! But anyway I like em.

along with this addicting fish hobby, I also have a pet snake in my classroom. He's a Columbian red tail boa, about 5 years old and almost 7 feet long. He's great with the students plus they love watching him eat! (high schoolers love gore! ) I love my snake. His name is Partagas.
