well, it's about the size of a baseball... about the same color (don't touch the yellow snowballs), but doesn't hurt as much as a baseball if you get hit by one..... unless you get a slushball in the ear!  That hurts!

Same thing happened in Indiana...up near where Jeff lives.

Never seen anything like that before on the news!
Footage was awesome...looked like another planet!

Nope Shirley, saw the footage on the news last nite tho out of Chicago TV, they called 'em snowrolls,conditions for them are 3-4" of fine loose snow, ideal temps and a LOTTA wind, which we had,but none seen in the back 40,,,,,,,,  10"dia. was the biggest one they had a pic w/ a ruler next to . they tend to "roll" about 15-20" they said......

The news camera angle must have been distorting the size perception then..,. because they looked to be the size of a large tire to me! Really weird!

it's what i thought too Shirley,,til i saw the one w/the ruler, pic was taken by a meteoroligist(sp) they never lie! LOL
although i read in today's paper that they can get to the dia. of a 30 g barrel,,,,
