OK here are the results: The plywood was stacked on a stack of items we found in the woods. I hi the ramp and made it maybe half way up it before the ramp dropped. I was moving fast enough that it really didn't affect the end result. I landed in the creek, creek is a runoff from the Missouri River so it was deep. The water stopped me from any real injuries. I didn't hit the water on the bike, I let loose. Took close to 2 hours to find the bike. I made a second attempt after that. We secured the ramp better and I landed just a bit further across. Other than being a bit bruised up from two jumps and very wet, it wasn't a bad day.

I was an animal catcher too, we had a creek that ran through town and I would collect bugs, frogs, turtles, what ever I could find and would bring them home and ask to keep them as pets - my folks usually let me keep them a few days and then return them to their natural home LOL

Once on the playground in a bout 2nd grade a boy told me girls didn't know how to punch or fight. I said really you think so , he said no way girls are sissies, I looked at him, made a fist, looked at it, punched him dquare in the nose, he went down like a rock, i looked at him and said guess your wrong! he cried I walked away. ( it was experimental as opposed to bullyish)

Only been in one other fist fight - that was 8 th grade a boy called my friend not so nice names ( she was rather developed in 8th grade) I told him to take it back, he threw money at her and made MORE comments and I came flying at him cracked him in the face with a full fist ( no slapping here, my Daddy taught me to punch) bloody nose and black eye for him, he slapped me back, yes slapped- caught my glasses, kids held us both back. next perios I got called into the principles office - first time EVER.
Mike was there, he said not nice to fight, blah blah blah. Mike was excused the principle reached his hand across the desk and said Amy it's about time somebody hit that kid. He won't forget this any time soon. YOur a good kid and I am going to let this go, but please don't hit anybody else. I know Mike had it coming. go back to class.

Mike never forgot, and was much nicer to girls after that. He mentioned something our sr yr in high school, and again at our 10 yr reunion lol

We did play bike chicken alot. No one ever budged, resulting in somewhat horrific crashes.

Our 3 neighbors, kiki, dee dee and mikey, were best friends with my and my sister. Their parents were SUPER strict so we could never sleep over there...or so they THOUGHT! They would sneak us in and my sister and I would spend 90% of the time in the closet being terrified

Hee Hee Hee ... sounds just like me. Growing up with 1 brother and his friends, you learn how to defend yourself. By high school most of my brother's friends where very nice to me and usually warned any of my boyfriends to never make me mad or I'd deck them!

the rest of grade school

since I had to talk with the councelor in Kindergarden
I was fairly well behaved the rest of grade school

my friends and I would take turns spinning each other around
and the goal was to get the most grass stains on your pants
(mom was not happy about that one)

My sister and I decided to explore the train tacks one day
I think we were gone for several hours, and came back filthy
my parents were worried sick about where we were, we said at a friends house
I don't think they believed us, since we were grounded for 2 weeks

I had my first existential life crisis involving those 3 friends as they were catholic and my first exposure to church etc. Well they tried to teach me to have faith and a belief in God so one day we went to their church. I was going to give the holy powers that be a little TEST. I walked up to the altar and got out one of my Hot Tamale candies and put it down. I left for a few minutes while saying a little "test" prayer. Lo and Behold, when I came back, that HOT TAMALE had a DENT in it!

I have believed ever since

I beat up the school bully. He was much bigger than I was (Amy can tell you I am not a big guy). He messed with me and my friend (friend was about the same size as the bully) all the time. One day he decided to get off the bus at the stop before ours and ran up the street to meet us. I had finally had enough after close to two years of this. He was about to my house when we got off. So instead of running to my friends like we normally did, I headed down the hill towards him. My friend thought Iwas nuts but followed just to see whta I was up to. I ran to the back yard and Tom the bully followed. Tom took one swing, I ducked, came back up, grabbed Tom's ears and swiftly buried my knee in his groin. Tom hit the ground. I kicked him a few times and then got my friend to help me throw him over the fence to the yard behind mine. The reason I chose that yard was because they had two dobermans. Tom got his pants chewed a bit getting out of there. I never had any trouble with Tom again.
