Watching a couple of old Roberto Duran fights last night got me thinking of some of these shows.

Well, I remember scenes something like that 'cept we were gathered around the radio, listening to The Lone Ranger and such. We didn't get a tv station in our town until I was about 12 or so! When we did, it was as you describe.

Remember waiting around in the afternoon for the test pattern to go off and the programs to start? No daytime tv at all!

I'm no good at TV trivia,... My parents only allowed me 30 Min of TV per day until I moved out on my own. That's part of the reason I was driving out of state 1 week after graduating High School I'm sure

Sadly I don't remember most of them

OMG - I've assimilated into the television Borg. I just knew resistance was futile...

Heck I use some of those expressions on a daily basis. Just today I put on my best Jon Lovitz voice and said, "Yeah, that's the ticket".

I use the "I'm not a (insert profession here) and I DON'T play one on TV" (modified from its original version!) all the time.

D'OH! ... 'nuff said - I'm a klutz so I use that one all the time!

I'm sure I use half of those expressions on a weekly basis!

I scare me.
