Reefer on Food TV

Hey guys...

Hans here...you know me as the cyano-boy...

I've just been selected as one of the semi-finalists for Food Network's national contest. THere's a little video of me on there as well.

If you get a chance, go check it out at foodtv.com I'm like the 3rd contestant or something. I need some votes!

Thank you much...more on the aquarium front from me later!

Hans

I can make a mean Cyclopeze parfait! How about an AquaYums fritatta? Clams on the half-shell?

I do make some mean seafood...I guess that's counter intuitive, eh? I have a reef tank and like to cook seafood. Hmm...

I'll put a reef tank in the kitchen on the show if I get it...how's that??

Hans

No joke...I actually swallowed a rotton, pulpy starfish when I was a kid. The thing died and instantly turned to the consistency of rotting pumpkin. I knew that trying to net it out would cause a snow storm of goo, so I thought it best to siphon it out. Let me just interject that I was about 8 years old...first SW tank...disaster!

Anyway, I had the hose in my mouth and was starting the siphon when the phone rang. I turned my head toward the phone (I don't know why I felt compelled to look at a ringing phone) and GULP! the whole puply, briny, mass was down my throat before you could say Echinoderm. I couldn't bring myself to puking it up, but MAN was I sick the next day.

The good news is, I can now regenerate any lost limbs. Nah...not really.

Thanks for checking out Food TV for me. I was in 2nd place earlier today...now I'm somewhat lost in the shuffle.

Cheers!

H.

Hey Hans. Tell us about your restaurant. I just looked up Talking Rock and it's right up near where my Sister has her mountain cabin. I need to stop in and give it a try.

My family owns the Woodbridge Inn restaurant in downtown Jasper, GA (woodbridgeinn.net). I worked there my entire life, but just left this past summer to go and work for a TV station in north GA...ETC3. It only plays in 5 counties.

Anyway, I did a cooking show for them here over the summer and now I'm the host of their new daily news show called North Georgia Now. In fact, I'm WAY behind on today's show!

Thank you everyone for your votes!

Hans
