Post Vacation Depression??
Is there such thing as post vacation depression?? I spent 3 weeks with my family and had too much fun. My 2nd cousin came from japan so we Went to vegas and I had an anxiety attack because of all the people. I think It was because staying in morro bay, I was not used to all the people anymore. Anyways, from vegas I went to grand canyon where i had never been before. Then we had a great christmas, the whole family was there and we had so much fun. After christmas, we went to san francisco where I had never been and had another blast. After that we had a crazy new years party where everyone was throwing up and laughing and just fun. After New years, we went to Universal studios and had more fun and stuff. Than I had to go back to work for a day, but then I came back down and we went to Magic Mountain and rode roller coasters all day and then we went shopping the next day. And then finally came sunday, my last day down there. So for 3 weeks, I was sleeping over at my aunts house and always had my family around from the moment I woke up. I kinda got attached to my 2nd cousin a little bit, cuz I was sad to see her go. On sunday I left for morro bay. The day after, I woke up and everything was quiet and I really felt sad. I woke up alone and it was quiet. Way too quiet. And even till today when I am at home alone, I have to turn my TV on or something. I am constantly having dreams about the things we did, like riding the roller coasters, Las vegas etc. Last night I woke up at 4 am and couldn't go back to sleep because I was thinking of when we were at las vegas and how it is all just a memory now. I don't know, does anyone get this way after a long vacation??

Sounds like you had 3 weeks of sensory overload and yes it will take a while to wind down and get back into the groove again.
For a lot of people the first week back at work after a hectic vacation is a b**** because of the change in tempo and stress . It should pass

Are you from Alabama?
Sounds like a fun vacation (cept for the throwing up part). It's normal to be depressed about going back to work after a long vacation. It helps a little if you like what you do for a living.
