Post that are Not Worthy of being Posted in RC
Just wanted to share this thread from my other forum. I feel really sad that the feedback members here have about RC has just became reality to me. Here is a vent that I just typed after receiving sub par treatment from a local fish store. I know, sorry for the last paragraph. Anyways, someone attacked my personality, then responded that it is not worthy of being posted into RC.
Enjoy

Very sorry to hear that. My local clubs both have forums there, but I visit just those forums and then return here for all other forum discussion. The folks here are very nice. We are a playful bunch at time, but always friendly! I hope you find it the same.

First sorry about your experience at the LFS and at RC. When I go to any store its nice to have someone who knows what they are doing, plus you were posting an experience you had to others who may have had or who live in your area about this store. I say who cares what the person in Florida thinks, he's never been there plus if he did go he would be the one posting about his bad expericence there....

RC has gone for the worse. Too bad, I really enjoyed my time there until recently. I enjoy TRT so much. You all are awesome. I hope to contribute in keeping our outlook towards each other just like this for years to come.

H iArchie, Welcome to The Reef Tank, hope you find this board a nice place to hang out
General statement here, not aimed at just you, so don't take it personal please. While we do allow links to other forums when relavent to am ongoing topic, as a rule we highly discourage threads that turn into bashes of other forums. There are a multitude of forums out thare, all with different personalities but they all exist to feed our insatiable curiosity about the hobby we are addicted to

Heh heh heh! Welcome to TRT, Archie!
Some of us still regularly post to RC, not due to any superiority of their forum (not a bash), but because we still have friends in the hobby that have forums there or with MD now (now THERE is a political mess on how that came to be). I find it best to just be anon. in those forums and maintain my profile here. In this manner, I can post there without dealing with some of the issues that contributions there seem to entail.
Enjoy exploring the TRT site!

enjoy trt, we have a KNOW-IT-ALL, but he is not that kind!!! I was on rc as well but have found trt more to my tastes. The people here have fun but still get the important info as well.

Sometimes you just have to let things roll off your back.
I noted that his occupation was "Student" and possibly he needs to mature up a bit to learn tact and manners. I'm sorry this happened to you. However, my advice is to not let a student from Florida, who you'll never meet, ruin your day.
Cheers

Hehe, it's the internet, it can be a great resource but something that everyone needs to remember 99.9% is opinion, whether formed by personal experience or repeating what others have said. Take everything with a grain of salt and do the research.
I think one of the things thats nice about TRT is that while some people gravitate towards others for whatever reason, most folks here are pretty friendly and open minded. We have a broad spectrum of society here but all of us share the addiction.
I do think that one of the things that helps with the feeling of family or community is that we do try to get regional things happening where fellow addicts can meet face to face and enjoy swapping lies and stuff face to face
I can't guarantee that membership here will assure you of an awesome tank with no crashes ever but it helps to have a wide base to pick the brains of
