Its minutes south or west of Dallas. I have been away from home so long I can hardly remember (courtesy of Uncle Sam and his priorities). I will be there in July to stay though!!!
Dallas and Ft Worth have a lot of things to do and can be pretty happining at night. Should make for a nice visit if you can handle the sweltering heat of the Summer. Its a good excuse to hit any one of the dozen or so lakes in the area! Traffic really SUCKS though( kinda like the I-8 and I-15 merge at 5pm in San Diego if you have ever had that wonderful experience)!!!

Aint that the truth! It is kinda hard to tell when you left Dallas and there are a horrendous number of little satalight cities that might as well be Dallas. I knew it was down there around the edge some place! I wasnt lost, Just temporarely disoriented, ha ha ha.

I am originally from Plano. Here are a few tidbits.
1. Plano is yuppieville.
2. To "fit" in, youmust drive a BMW or Lexus SUV.
3. There are two things to do in Plano. Eat and Shop.
4. There are a few LFS stores. One is at Alma and Parker Rd. that I know of.
5. Other things to do in Plano include going to Dallas.
6. You can by beer and wine in the grocery store but have to drive to Addison or Dallas for your favorite booze.
7. Good place to raise a family, if you can afford it.
8. One of the best school districts in Texas, however you will pay for it with ungodly taxes. And with the Robinhood bill, yur tax money will go to poor school districts in the state anyway.
Its a nice place to live. Typical suburbia. Heroin capital of the US, why?...because the rich kids can afford it! There are more BMW and Mercedes in the high scool parking lot than most car dealerships.
I hope this isn't considered "flame"

I dont think its a flame but I would hate to think of what you think of So Cal because its the ultimate suburbia, all of my family and friends from Plano complained everything was to high and my mom has a couple of those high end cars you listed
come on now youve seen the 90210 and the O.C.
The people cant be as fake as they are here I mean come on Hollywood and Plastic Surgery
I'm looking forward to leaving here for a couple weeks

Its as close to being 90210 and the OC as you can get without being in So Cal. Its as close to "perfect" as the Leave it to Beaver.

hey it would just be nice to be in a place that you can drive west for more than 10 minutes and not hit the ocean, only 3 directions to go in when you live near the beach
