Hey, just ask Drew(Dipstick), I can't find anything I lay down in the classroom....What I wouldn't give for a short-term memory upgrade...
Glad you like the pic...
I have another of a rather exotic pet that I need to scan and post for you...
If I can find it...

Quito Bandito ~
When we lived in Louisiana, we acquired Quito at a local Aids Benefit Auction...We lived in the Historic District, and he quickly became a major attraction on the walking tour...he also played the part of a camel in a Christmas play, visited nursing homes, donated his time - via benefit auctions - at birthday parties to benefit the local cancer society, things like that...He was QUITE a character!

Hi Ann-Marie,
That's awesome that you got to live and work on a Llama "ranch"! Where was this? Did the ranch (farm) have a name? I used to get the Llama magazines and saw so many pics of various llama ranches and their people...
Llamas are such amazingly calm, spiritual creatures - as you know! Quito did wonders at the nursing home and also when he visited the camp for handicapped and mentally challenged children. He'd let those kids do things with him and on him that he'd never ordinarily tolerate.
(btw, your PM doesn't work...it says "complete the address field in order to send")
Have a good day,
Shirley

Ahh...what fun with the twists and turns in this thread!
Shirley! I'm so impressed that you could find the pix of your milk-hand-drinking cat. What a gas And a Llama too. Far out, Shirley.
BTW... Ann-Marie has been having trouble with her PM feature for the past several days. This sounds like a job for Brooke to fix with her magic wand.

the farm i lived/worked on wasn't just for the llamas...we had 2 donkeys, 2 horses, 6 sheep, 4 goats, and a mess of chickens, 1 peacock (george) and a calf. we also had 2 pigs that would get fat every year & then "mysteriously" disappear and when they came back, they'd be little again us older kids knew what was up, and why all of a sudden the campus would be full of pork chops, sausages, bacon & ham YUM YUM! we also had a couple bunnies & cats..
we also had a large garden & sold alot of produce in a stand we'd run in the sumemr time. oh and we did landscaping around the campus in the summer too...$4 WHOLE DOLLARS AN HOUR!
it was a residential school for "bad" kids...i used to be a naughty one..well i guess i still am
oh and as for the PM messages, i dunno what in the world is going on with them...i pm'ed brooke about it, hopefully we can figure it out

Speaking of cats, FishGirl is spending this week at our friend's animal park as a "Jr. Zookeeper". Part of her official duties is helping to take care of the baby animals.
This is their new 10-day old lion cub:
