one busy weekend
sounds like perry had a fun one, so i thought i would share mine, friday, my girlfriend and i went to the bodies exibit, if you havent heard of it, check it out. http://www.bodiestheexhibition.com/intro.html
its crazy, and kinda disturbing, after that we went to a firiends show, heavy metal band, we were sitting at the bar as the bouncers tossed some kid out, he came back, and they toss him out again, this time they rough him up a little, on the 3rd time, he tries to come back in with a knife, needless to say, he got hit in the ribs and across his face with a pool stick, not very pretty at all, as his friends carry him out to their car, they decide to drop the worst "N" word imaginable, and considering its atlanta, and all the bouncers are black, it wasnt a great idea. it was just like a movie, the whole bar got quiet just as he says it, than the whole place goes "ooooo"
saturday we went to home depot and got a ton of landscape edging for my girl friends new house, (i almost have her talked into a tank too!!) this stuff is 15 dollars a box, we got 13 boxes and some other random items, she had a 10% off coupon, as we get to the register, we are upset to find out the coupon only gave us 4 dollars off, it wasnt till we were half way home that we checked the receipt and realized the cashier only rang up one box of edging and we just stole 200 dollars from them. you kinda feel bad, but not bad enough to go back and pay them.
sunday we finished up the weekend by washing the cars and installing the free boarder. and getting chewed a new one by mosquitos.

Arthur isnt with HD anymore. Nice to see some people care so much about the person making very little scratch. That loss affects all of the employees. get alot of folks who do the same and it adds up quick.
But hey, thats okay, you made out well. Hope it looks good in the yard. Im sure the employees of that store wont mind when the deal you got plus others folks who do the same or like deplete the profit sharing for them. You know, the people who make just enough to survive on, the single parents and such. Maybe you should invite them over when the yard is finished so they can all see how wonderful it is!

yea, newnan georgia, and you have to be kidding me, your telling me that these people get paid less because we walked out on a stupid mistake? 200 bucks isnt 1/100000 of the profit made for that hour at home depot, if you think its hurting this store your nuts, and if you want to say alot of people doing it adds up, then home depot should pay a little better, so they can get better employees so they arent making this mistake enough to add up. and if the employees dont like there "just enough to survive on" pay, i think they should try college or a better job, dont put their meager earnings off on me. i dont feel very bad if that young girl gets fired for her mistake. big difference between me stealing and her stupidness. she should pay a little more attention to her job, i know i would get reamed if i lost my buisness 200 bucks.

Actually it does impact every hourly associate in that store. Its called Success Sharing and is profit sharing. HD pays well above industry. And yes it impacts the store. I guess I just tend to care about people even if they do make a mistake, every human makes mistakes. I prefer not to take advantage of them though. I hope someone with your feelings on such matters doesnty affect you with their actions someday. Funny how things change when the shoe is on the other foot.

robert, ive been ripped off time and time again, and yes it does hurt, im not saying im perfect, but if someone makes a mistake, sorry im not honest enough to return to the store and give them the extra money, that young lady isnt gonna get a pay cut because she made a human error.
