it is just a matter of paying attention and keeping up with HW and asking ?'s when you get stuck, but its better than actual work if you ask me.

i had a rough time once i hit algebra 2. the teacher wasn't all that clear. when i did ask questions the answers never made since to me. i would just get more confused.
one of these days i plan on going back to school and am going to learn it. if nothing else just because i hate failing something. and that is the only class i failed that i can't except. spanish. well. i didnt want to take that anyway. i was forced. wasn't interested so i failed that .. but math. i can't except failing that.
i am hoping that this next week i can find a day job and once i get through this next year (getting bills taken care of) i can start taking a class or 2. i am not going to get student loans or anything like that. i plan on taking what i can pay for upfront. it will be slow but it would be better for me that way.

Very cool Awol! I'm sure you'll do very well. Going to school because you want to for yourself is the best reason, and your almost sure to suceed.
I would like to go back myself, but I haven't looked into it at all yet.

i live less than 5 miles from a community college. makes it easy to get there. now i just need to find time. and $$ .. lol..
hopefully monday for tuesday (next week) i will be putting in 2 apps for a new job. looking for a day shift job. after that i just need to get the car paid off. (my tax return should cover that) and get the wife out and working. (which would be good for her) then we should be okay. will have some time on my hand and some capital to work with.
if i do get a new job and the wife goes back to work then i can start on my 55 gal tank and my 29 gallon hermit tank.. lol. oh .. that reminds me
Whiskey what kind of canaster filter did you use on your planted aquarium before you took it down? the wife would like a planted tank and i was thinking since the 10 gallon is too small i would do a 55 .. use a rr tank and put it on a canaster filter.

If I were to do a planted tank I would not use an RR tank,.. I just did that because the plan was always to make the 180SW eventually.
I used a Fluval 204 and a Magnum 350 on the 180 and I was never happy with it,.. I never felt it was quite enough, but for a 55 the Magnum would do quite nicely, and did actually back when I had the 50G planted.
If you were doing a 55G Planted tank you can literly light it for about $40 or less, I was most sucessfull when I used 4*40W T12 NOF bulbs over mine. It used 2 shop light fixtures that cost $12 each, and a bunch of bulbs from HD that were between $2 and $5 each.

i am going to do a 29 gallon tank with nothing but hermits. the large hermits. i think the ones i am looking at are green legs but sold as strawberry hermits. i am going to get ones that are about 2 to 2 1/2 inches. i may toss in a domino damsel just to have a fish in it but thats about it. i like hermits. but those would destroy a reef tank..
