I missed one episode of the third season and could not pick it back up from that point. Rather that "waste" the rest of the season and missing what I considered something significant, I stopped watching the show from that episode on for that season, but I was in Best Buy the day they released the 3rd season on DVD. I watched the entire season in literally 24 hours. That was how I originally became part of the "hooked generation". My wife bought me the first season on DVD as a present when it became available, and I (having only seen one episode prior to that) started watching it when she went to work on third shift that night. In what seemed like an hour (the great think about having "24" on DVD is there are no commercial interuptions), she came back in through the door, and I asked her "what are you doing home, did you forget something?", to which she repied, "I get off work at 7AM..."
