NewBorn English Bulldog Pups with pic
Well Just thought I would share the great News,
Our Champion English Bulldog (Ruby) had her C-Section Yesterday and gave Birth to an Unusualy Large litter of 10 pups
All are very healthy and beautiful Here is a pic a few minutes after the last pup was born.
I also have pics of the entire surgery but thought they were a little to graphic to post on here. I will however post them on the website soon as I get it going.
Anyway I couldn't stop myself from sharing the great news
Thanks
Clay

Awwwww.......you'll have to post pics as they're growing up
10!! That is quite a few; they look like good sized pups, too. We had a German Shep/Collie mix that had 13 pups once-phew!
Congrats!

Awwwwwww aint they cute. I have wanted a english bull for as long as I can remember. You have pics of Mom too? Would love to see her and maybe dad. How much do the pups go for in your area? They go for about 1600 per pup here and thats just a pup not show quality. AKA reg all that doesnt matter to me I wont show one but I just want a bull for a dog ya know what I mean?

Congrats! Clay! 10! wow , are you gonna be busy in a bit LOL.as a dog guy, i am ashamed to ask,,aren't your breed of bulldogs hard to "breed'? i know of a breed that has to be artif. inseminated, but for the life of me, can't remember exactly the breed,,,(yes. i'm ashamed)
well anyway, good luck with them , and don't forget, plenty of airholes and a heat pack in the box for the one coming my way! LOL

Well yes this is the breed that has to be artificialy inseminated and they have to have a C-section to deliver them quite an ordeal, the surgery was awesome to watch. I took pic's of the entire thing.
The mother is a Champion Show Dog and so was the Father and Both have excelent pedigree's champion show dogs back at least 5 generations.
The mother and father of our Girl were the top two bulldogs in the country for 97, 98, and 99
We will be looking to sell them to people who are intersted in a Show Dog for the most part and they will be selling for roughly 1500 for pet quality and 2000 for Show Quality it is still way too early to tell which pups will be which but we are sure most will turn out show quality.
I will be putting a website together for the pups over the next few days if anyone is intersted.
Thanks again everyone it is always a Joy to share the great news with the family

CONGRATULATIONS!!
That's awesome!
One of my 5th gr. students got an English Bulldog pup last year, and she did her research paper on the breed, plus brought her pup to class when she presented her paper. SO CUTE!!!!
I've seen pet quality go for around $650 here (Indpls area).
Best Wishes for All Ten!! and Mom and Pop, too!

Why do they have to be artificially inseminated?
What are your thoughts on the basic health of the english bulldog breed? My information is that they've been bred for "show" quality at the expense of health ie.; poor respiratory, athleticism and skin condition. When you look at pictures from 80 years ago, it's amazing at the changes that have been made to the genetics of this dog. There's a breeder up here in the Greater Vancouver area that is trying to breed a healthier bulldog and as far as I could tell, they seem to be using the staffordshire bull terrier as part of the process. Have you heard anything about this?
I am very interested in this breed and when I do get another dog I'm looking at either a bulldog a staffbull or a cane corso. The biggest strike against the bulldog are the health issues.

wow, i surprise myself at times! i thought your breed Timber, was the one that had to be art. isem./c-section,,,but the more i second quessed myself , i was not sure,,,,,,.tend to stick with G.Shepherds,Dobe's, Rott's and other public service breeds of dogs and their training(K9) and ya, i/we got 4 mini doxies at home too so i don't stay up on the other breeds as much as i'd like. ever see a 7lb. mini daschshund sprint 100+yds. into a neighbor horse pasture just to bark at and chase three ,very large and suprised horses? bravery and stupidity are on the same thin line,,,

To bad pups can't stay that way! But then again all the little noises they make could drive you to take the pups to Mojo's house!

Jeff,
Our yard already is fenced... Man... we already kinda said no more dogs for now. The one we (well, I,) was looking at is about 4 years old and a perfect lady in her foster home. And I know they're couch potatos. That's why I want one.
Yes, I have 2 couch potato cats, but they don't count. I just don't want to be too outnumbered!
