Newbie Saying Hello

HELLO!!

I'm finally going to be back in the saltwater hobby again after a few years of taking a break (from a rather barren fish only tank).

I just purchased a custom acrylic 90 gallon with built in overflow(drilled). You guys have any thoughts on acrylic Vs. Glass?

I will be attempting a reef setup and I plan to cycle with live rock and maybe a little live sand mix with crushed coral or whatever I can get at a reasonable price.

My knowledge comes from books so please bear with me if I ask a stupid question in the forums.

I look forward to getting aquainted.

Nathan

Nathan welcome please be careful with acrylic and if you use an algae magnet dont get sand in it will scratch it bad I know I just scratched my 180 so be careful and acrylic tanks stay hotter here in Florida than glass ones so I use mainly glass tanks no chiller needed
acrylic is a much better insulator.

Squids make great bait if you are into fishing for lingcods and the like.
