New Off topic forum

Hi everyone-

We've decided to try a seperate forum for off-topic threads. A lot of good threads are getting pushed to page 2 before their time .

Use this new forum as a place to share news, photos of something fun in your life, etc. We'd like to keep the community spirit of TRT alive, while still being a great place to have your reefing questions answered.

I'll move over a few threads just to get us started.

If anyone has a good idea for a name for the off-topic forum, just let me know!

Thanks everyone-
Brooke

I say "the q tank" as it is topics meant to be isolated from the main forum

the quarantine tank or the refugium are pretty funny. Since its a reef board..... ya know.

Not that I am not a buffett fan.

Cool

Maragaritaville is perfect!

LOL....I love it!

Since more than a few of us like to occasionally imbibe with a "frozen concoction" and since it also brings to mind being in warm, salty climates where most of us would hope to visit someday, I think the name is very appropriate.

Well, I liked The Q Tank...but it looks like the majority wins out.

I liked margaritaville too...and considering it was my hubby that came up with it, I better concur.

Just curious, how is this going to work? I assume the other forum is postable but a lot of us are creatures of habit, We can move suitable threads over if they get enough interest I suppose, I can do that

With the way everyone here likes to ramble off on tangents with the slightest provecation, you may have a difficult time re-training everyone to use the new forum! Might still be worth a try!

P.S. I like the name Refugium!

With the new mantra being "form follows function", allowing that energy expenditure in nature comes with a high price, and that everything is there for a purpose or it wouldn't be there. How do you explain the presence of strontium in coral matrix?
