New External Drive


I got a new external drive should be here Thursday just in time for my Bday

I am getting a 500GB external Segate Freeagent USB 2.0 drive. It was on sale for $139

Nice. I just picked up the "Pro" model @ Best Buy for $159. I wanted an external drive with the external SATA connection, which the non-pro was lacking.

Good deal i see they droped the price on the pro model and raised the price on the normal model now Before the pro was higher much higher when i ordered this one online. I dont have a best buy near me so i cant go into a store and look.


Yeah give me a week or two i will have it full

I was looking at the western(I think) 250 or 500 gig... Any one know if it's any good? I want to be able to store my pics, movies and music...

I've had problems with WD in the past, but I've heard good reviews about them these days. A major difference between the two drives is a 3yr warranty vs a 5yr. I've been having more drives fail on me these days, so I opted for the longer warranty drive.

Hmmm. thanks guys. I think I get 20% off the western 250 @ dell with my student deal.. So 104 minus 20%. I think the price might be in my budget I guess I'll be ready to clone it if need be. I've always ran seagate internals, so the extrnals, aside from jump drives is new territory.
