do the moderators or any staff have the ability to read emails or personal messages sent from these forums, or this site?

Actually, it wouldn't be, but the software does not provide a way for moderators to access this type of information, and even if it did, the owner would not approve it unless there were convincing legal or public safety reasons to do so.

no guilty conscience . i just would like to know if i start sending private messages to another member if anyone else is able to view the private message. it would keep me from being too honest if you get my drift. my curiosity is still not entirely satisfied.

I know its hard to trust, bu this group here is one of the best you'll find on the net, plud greg said at this moment he really cant do it even if he wanted

Well, not only do we not have the ability, but quite frankly, why would we want to? I certainly wouldn't have the time or interest to scan people's PM's; I'm busy enough with my life that I can barely get through the threads!

It's not possible Curtis. Even if it was I can say for sure that the group of mods and admins we have here wouldn't do it.

To date, I've ever encountered one. I'm not talking about petty board politics type stuff, I'm talking people are going to be physically harmed type stuff - and there would have to be convincing evidence of such. With the environment we foster here I can't imagine how that could ever become a reality.
