A fine day to remember our heroes, even if a little rain might fall.
This would be a good thread to post photos of veterans who are special to you.
Two of my uncles, Arthur & Paul. Between them they had 63 years service.

Morning everyone. Hoping the weather holds today to get some more things done.

Good morning
Time for brunch or a cookout, I think. Hot dogs (real or otherwise), corn on the cob, veggies on a stick, beverages of all kinds. How about a root beer float to get started?
I'll have to look around for photos of my mother and dad when they were in the Army Air Corps.

Got a London Broil marinating now Cath to put slices over sweet potatoes.
Man it is non stop airplanes overhead today. They are getting ready for the Air Force Academy graduation and are still using Noob Manor as a waypoint. Too bad it is overcast.
I have a camera ready in case any serious iron passes over. So far it seems to be just F16s.

And a photo of Key Field Base Chapel Choir. Mom is in the front row, wearing a light colored officer's uniform (she was the organist), and Dad is in the front row on the far right (bass soloist). The photo was taken about a month before they got married.

Morning Gang. or remorning I guess. I was looking at the local papers website but I can't get a link to the story. On wed when Dyan was getting her chemo they had a ceremony at the hospital. The local Veterans group provided a new flag for the hospital and retired the old one. Several local military families were honored and a Local church Ladies group presented one family with a beautiful handmade quilt. The program finished up with refreshments and a preview of the lobby display of photos of hospital family members who had served in prior conflicts as well as the current deployments. A lot of old photos from WWII and Korea that have been hidden away in family albums and stashes for years finally made it into the light .
