As for the California debate I miss surfing and deep sea fishing a lot and there is like basically no edible food here at all. At a Mexican restaurant your choice of seasoning is mild salsa or nothing. People mix catsup and mayo together to dip their fries into. Forget Thai or anything exotic...just some horrid Chinese buffets.

Just don't miss the high cost of living and the crowds and having the state overtaken from New York transplants along with lots of others.

Yes, every place has it's downsides. It does get crowded in spots, all the tourists and such. Beaverton has been a good spot for restaurants. The only few I'm missing here is In-n-out and Claim Jumpers

I'm still waiting for Fly's joke.....

Professional sports and amusemnt parks does not a great state make. ; )
In fact its the small spots that few know about that i like. Calis got lots of those too though.

If this was a different forum i could tell my cali joke. It wouold actually be perfect at the moment

It is a lot shorter drive for me to haul the Weekend Warrior up to the mountains or to the river for Jetskiing I give it that.

I don't see any reason why you can't PM me a joke

Hehehehe, send it to me too Bill

T I am just teasing ya man, dont take me serious, I grant that Cali has great beaches but after 9 yrs living in the Bay Area and then coming back here I couldnt go back, then again i live on 15 acres 20 miles out of Grants Pass so the weather is a lot different here than up there, I think its about perfect, and its not that long a drive to do most anything I want

Wow, you're out in the woods aren't you. 15 acres would be nice. I'm not complaining, I got .5 acre now instead of my 7ksqft lot in Cali. Thanks to the nutzso Cali real estate I was able to get something nice here in Beaverton. I don't miss my commute I had there and a few other things but I never can understand why people bash it and then plan their vacations there.

Doug, do you have the highest post count on TRT? Are you having a party when you hit the 20K mark?

I played dead in the swings the whole ride. The operator wasn't happy with me. I don't think Disney likes when people die on their rides.

Nothing like a Goth family enjoying Disneyland. I wanted to see how the kid in the stroller was dressed.
